The "Big G"

Early start today, out of bed for 5am, and off for a 2 mile swim. The water was very, erm...refreshing, to say the least. Followimg the swim I set of to ride the Big G. The Big G is a local "cycle sportive covering 70 miles taking in the major hill climb. Needed less than 4hrs 15mins for "Gold" I completed in 4hrs & 1min!!!!!! YES. Humber swim tomorrow.......?

Having a rest day today, so Angela and I took a drive into the country, visited an "art gallery" and did "lunch" very nice until I found a huge piece of plastic in my meal....Supporting a new hair cut!

Long Bike today

Biked 57 miles and swam 1800 mtrs, time to start acting my age! Completly knackered, must take a rest day tomorrow. The weather is very very hot, 31 degrees in the garden, 19 degrees at night

"Boy oh boy", do I need a rest day, ran 6 miles this morning, should have stayed in bed struggled to get my heart rate up, legs felt like lead route took 7 mins longer this morning...

New PB on the Bike Course

Rode my 32 mile "hilly" bike course today, felt knackered before the ride, but felt I needed the miles.

Last time I did this route:
  1. 1:55:05 ave ride speed 16.32 mph

Today:

  1. 1:48:05, ave ride speed 17.78mph (and in strong wind)

Improvements are coming will be happy when the ave ride speed over the hills is >18.5mph

Wow a big day!!!!!!!!


Following my day of rest, I ran this morning and felt "amazing" PB for the 6 miles was 50mins 50 secs, TODAY 48mins 50 secs!!!

Noticed that my weight has not shifted over the last 2 weeks, only have myself to blame, far too much wine & cake.....

Swam this evening, again without a wetsuit..

Bike & Swim

Rode to Billabong (32 miles) noticed that I was biking with a high cadence! Felt good, swam without a wetsuit, water temp 22 degrees.......

TFI Friday!!!!

Its Friday and the weekend is here, the sun is shining the weather is very warm, "life does not get any better than this"...BBQ tonight with large amounts of red wine!
After work ran 6 miles, felt extremly tired at work, started the run very slowly, my "achillies" is slightly sore, slackened off on the run, and was able to pick up the pace, finished strongly, although took 53 mins to complete the run...
